Delhi: Ola's free ambulance service for non-coronavirus patients
Ola's emergency service will provide free cabs for medical visits to non-coronavirus patients through its network of vehicles.
The Ride Healing Company Ola is making many vital contributions in the fight against the Coronavirus epidemic. This includes giving relief funds to various states as well as help in PM funds. The company is also running emergency cab services in multiple cities across the country, for which you have to pay a little money.
Now Ola has come forward to increase the ambulance network of the capital in its new initiative in a partnership with the Health Department of the Delhi government. The company's fleet will be used as a mini-ambulance, which will transport citizens to the medical center with minimal delay.
This free service will help meet the shortage of medical transport required during this difficult time. Citizens needing an ambulance for any non-coronavirus medical care can dial 102, and the Health Ministry team will allocate a taxi to take the patient to the hospital for free.
These medical visits can include immediate medical needs, such as check-ups, dialysis, chemotherapy, and injuries. By offering masks and sanitizers in every cab, the company is promising a clean and safe riding experience.
Ola spokesperson and head of communication Anand Subramanian said, "Accessing health services is becoming a significant challenge for non-coronavirus diseases. Through this initiative, we will be able to provide safe service by increasing the number of existing ambulance network to come to the hospital. "
Ola has collaborated with the Ministry of Health of Karnataka and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to transport them from the homes of employees engaged in essential medical services to hospitals in Bangalore and Mumbai.
The company's 'Ola Emergency' service is now running in 15 cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Gurugram, Vizag, Nashik, Varanasi, Indore, Bhopal, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Patiala, Mohali, Rourkela, and Bhubaneswar.
