Mahindra XUV 500 BS6 2020 launched in India; Prices start from Rs. 13.20 lakhs

A few days after starting the online booking of BS6 XUV500, now Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the SUV in the market. The starting price of the vehicle in Delhi has been kept at Rs 13.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
The company has also discontinued the entry-level W3 variant along with the automatic option of SUV. Interested customers can book the SUV online by paying a token amount of Rs 5,000. The new Mahindra XUV 500 BS6 comes in four variants - W5, W7, W9 & W11 (O).
The SUV is similar to the BS4 model in terms of features and looks. It gets a bold chrome-finished front grille, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, diamond-cut alloy wheels, classy tailgate with split tail lamps, rear spoiler, twin exhaust, side cladding with chrome and more. The SUV has a length of 4,585 mm, width 1,890 mm, and height 1,785 mm.
The SUV has not received any significant upgrades or changes inside, the cabin layout is the same as the outgoing model. In this, you get features such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electric sunroof, keyless entry, automatic AC, leather seat, an electrically adjustable driver seat with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. For safety, the vehicle has dual airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, rear parking sensor, seatbelt reminder, and speed alert.
The XUV 500 gets the same 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine, which has been upgraded to BS6 standards. This gives a maximum power of 155 bhp with a peak torque of 360 Nm. The vehicle now only has a 6-speed manual gearbox, although the company may also introduce a 6-speed automatic soon. The company is also working on the new generation XUV 500, which has been spotted during the Indian roads test.
