The BS6 model XUV500 will be made available in 4 trims - W5, W7, W9 and W11 (O). Now to inform you about its engine, the company has given BS6 standard 2.2-litre diesel Amhock 155 engine in XUV500, which is electronic controlled variable geometry turbocharger technology. This engine generates 153 bhp power and 360 Nm peak torque which starts to be available only at 1750 rpm.
The engine of the Mahindra XUV500 BS6 is usually given a 6-speed synchromesh manual and 6-speed automatic transmission. Now the automatic transmission has been made available from the W7 variant of the XUV500, which is very easy to use by the customers.
Mahindra has generally provided micro-hybrid technology with the XUV500, but it has been introduced only in manual variants of the SUV. Please tell that the company has stopped production of all-wheel-drive variants of this SUV.
Mahindra Automotive has not changed the look of BS6 XUV500, and its features have been kept almost the same. With the new XUV500, the Bluesense app technology has been given. Talking about safety, dual airbags, EBD with ABS, seatbelt reminder and speed alerts are given in general. Apart from this, roll mitigation with ESP, side and curt airbags and hill descent controls with hill hold is also provided.
