Skoda Issue Global Recall To Replace Faulty Takata Airbags

Danger to life due to defective airbags

The global recall of Takata airbags affects models manufactured by Å koda as well as many other manufacturers. This means that if there is a faulty airbag in your vehicle, it could pose a serious safety risk to you. On the following page, you can find more information and check if your vehicle is affected.”

Head over to Skoda’s official website and enter your car’s VIN to check if it is affected by the latest recall. Over the last decade, Takata airbag recalls have affected millions of car owners from various brands, including Audi, BMW, Honda and Toyota, across the globe.

Indian VIN

We tried it with 2 VINs of Indian Skoda cars and found that in both cases, we got the message saying that we’re in the green.

Skoda also recently introduced a few extra features for the Slavia and Kushaq’s top variants. The Style, new Matte Edition and Monte Carlo variants of the Kushaq and the Style and Matte Edition trims of the Slavia get the following new features:

  • Illuminated front footwell
  • Larger 10-inch touchscreen (Normally 8-inch)
  • Wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay (Normally wired)
  • Subwoofer
  • 6-way power driver seat
  • Power front passenger seat (of unknown adjustment)

Skoda also recently increased the prices of the Kushaq and Slavia but dropped the prices of their base models. You can read more about these developments at the following links:
