Mahindra Scorpio N Global Pik Up Design Patented – To Launch In 2025

Mahindra Scorpio N Pik Up Patent Image Leaked

The Scorpio N Pik Up truck seen in the leaked patent image looks largely similar to the concept that was unveiled in August this year. Based on the images, we could expect the production-spec Scorpio N Pik Up to feature all-LED headlights that incorporate a new LED DRL design. Other details include a bolder front grille, vertically-stacked LED DRLs and a sturdy bumper. Around the side, it gets accentuated wheel arches with thick body cladding and side skirting. Towards the rear, it offers a flip-opening tailgate with Mahindra lettering and vertical LED tail lights. As we stated earlier, the Global Pik Up concept comes with a twin-cab layout and a large flat bed.

Other highlights include a snorkel, a roof rack, individual side steps for all doors, and a roll over bar atop the rear bed. The production-spec Scorpio N Pik Up will be based on the same platform as the Scorpio N SUV. However, it is expected to be longer and taller than the Scorpio N. It could even offer more ground clearance than the Scorpio N’s 187mm.

Mahindra Scorpio N Pik Up Expected Features

In terms of features, Mahindra say the production-spec version of the Scorpio N Pik Up concept will offer features like Level-2 advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS), 5G connectivity, electric sunroof, trailer sway mitigation, and semi-autonomous parking. Mahindra will reveal more features of the Scorpio N Pik Up closer to its production-spec debut.

Mahindra Scorpio N Pik Up Powertrain Details

The Mahindra Scorpio N Pik Up will be powered by the carmaker’s 2nd-gen turbo diesel engine. The new engine will come mated with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Furthermore, the Scorpio N Pik Up will also offer a capable 4WD system with shift on the fly. In other markets where petrol engines are more popular, Mahindra will also offer the Scorpio N Pik Up with a turbo petrol engine with 4WD.
