Mahindra Thar 3 Door To Get A Sunroof In 2024?
Mahindra Thar 3 Door 2WD Facelift Homologated
Recently, the homologation document for the Thar LX P AT 2WD 4S HT variant was leaked online. The document suggests this variant of the Thar 2WD will soon become taller by 11mm. For context, the current Thar 3 Door is 1844mm and according to the document, the Thar LX P AT 2WD 4S HT’s height could increase up to 1855mm. Equipping a car or an SUV with a sunroof eats into the headroom of the vehicle. So are Mahindra planning to increase the height of the Thar 2WD AT variant to accommodate a sunroof? It seems possible since the Thar 5 Door was spotted with a single pane sunroof recently, and there is no reason why Thar 3 Door buyers should not get to enjoy this feature as well. Interestingly, the homologation document for the increased height only mentions one variant – the Thar 2WD automatic – which happens to be the most popular variant for urban use.
Apart from the addition of a sunroof in one variant, we expect every variant of the Thar 3 Door to get the same styling as the Thar 5 Door. So expect a revised front grille with more stylish vertical slats, LED projector headlamps with round LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, and more. The Thar 3 Door facelift could be launched alongside the Thar 5 Door and it could even receive the larger touchscreen infotainment system that was spied on the larger SUV a few months ago.
Meanwhile, Mahindra are currently testing the XUV300 facelift as well, and we expect it to launch in early 2024. The Mahindra XUV300 facelift was spotted wearing heavy camouflage yet again. However, this time around the images reveal the XUV300 facelift’s new LED DRLs that also function as the turn indicators. Let’s take a closer look at the latest XUV300 spy shots.
