BS6 Hero Splendor iSmart price hike, ₹ 2,200 hiked price
Hero Splendor is a BS6 standard 113.2cc, single-cylinder fuel-injected engine with iSmart replacing the 109.15cc carbureted engine.
Hero MotoCorp launched the BS6 Splendor iSmart in November last year with fuel injection technology, and the bike was priced at Rs 64,900 in Delhi at that time. Now new BS6 fuel rules have been implemented in India, in such a situation the company has quietly increased the price of this motorcycle.
Hero MotoCorp has increased the price of Splendor iSmart BS6 by Rs 2,200, and it is the first bike of the company that was given BS6 technology. The new variant of the FI variant with self-start disc brake alloy wheels of the bike has now been priced at Rs 67,100, which comes with PFI advanced sense technology with BS6 engine.
BS6 standard 113.2cc, single-cylinder fuel-injected engine, has been mated to the new Hero Splendor iSmart, which replaces the 109.15cc carbureted engine. This new engine generates 9.1 bhp power at 7,500 rpm and 9.89 Nm peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Interestingly, the company has reduced the power of this engine slightly, while its torque output has increased by 10%. The company has given the Idol start-stop system along with the motorcycle so that it can be more economical in terms of fuel.
Hero Splendor iSmart FI has improved fuel efficiency with an idle start-stop system called the i3S system. The new Splendor iSmart FI includes three colors - Techno Blue and Black, Sports Red, and Black and Force Silver and Heavy Gray; apart from this, the bike is available in two variants - Self Drum Cast and Self Disc Cast. There have also been many changes in the form and shape of the bike, which has increased its torque by 10% and the next suspension has been increased by 15mm.
Hero MotoCorp has used a diamond frame in the new BS6 Splendor iSmart FI, which is said to be much stiffer than before. The wheelbase of the bike has also been increased by 36mm. Apart from this, the ground clearance of the bike is 180mm, which is considered much better for all types of roads. In the coming days, the company is going to provide this motorcycle at the dealerships in Delhi. After a few weeks, it will be made available at the Hero dealerships across the country.
