Exclusive: Jeep to launch 7-seat SUV in the premium segment
This 3-row SUV will sit between the Compass and Grand Cherokee in Jeep's India portfolio.
Fiat Chrysler India has said that the next time, their primary focus will be Jeep brand in India. The company has confirmed that many new vehicles will be launched in different segments, but it is not told how long this work will be done.
In an exclusive chat with CarAndBike, Partha Dutta, President, and CEO, FCA India shared that the company is going to bring at least 3 new SUVs, one of which is a 7-seat model that has now become a popular compass in the Jeep range. Will appear in the above segment.
This upcoming SUV is likely to be related to the D-segment. Partha Dutta said, "In the near future one of our 3-Row SUVs will hit the Indian market. The SUV will be closer to the Cherokee (compared to the Grand Cherokee) in terms of dimensions and size. Between the Compass and this new SUV, more Nothing will come. " He also said that diesel will be necessary for Jeep in the BS6 era, especially for expensive and more premium cars because they give excellent performance.
