Auto companies are coming forward to provide all possible help during the Coronavirus crisis. Some are manufacturing masks, ventilators and sanitizers, while many are contributing relief funds to provide assistance. Volkswagen India has also taken a new initiative in which Volkswagen will contribute to the Prime Minister's Civil Assistance and Emergency Situation (CARES) relief for every car of the company given to those engaged in essential services.

The company has also announced its free care and additional benefits for the vehicles to be purchased after lockdown. Customers will also be given additional benefits by purchasing an extended warranty and service package.

Stephen Knapp, director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said, "Volkswagen thanks all those who are engaged in serving this difficult situation country. In addition to our contribution as a group, we are looking forward to each of the cars offered to these heroes PM promises to contribute to the Cars Fund. It will be in honor of all those heroes who are making every effort to save lives "

The company is offering its employees, dealers, sales service consultants and technicians the right way of hygiene practices, hygiene, use of masks and use of sanitizers. Workers are also being given training on how to resume work after the lockdown period. Knapp also said, "We are ready to strengthen ourselves and all our partners in this situation and are working towards providing an AC sales and service experience in which social distance can be taken care of.
