Nissan Kicks 2020 to get 1.3-liter turbo petrol engine

This 1.3 liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged, BS6 compliant petrol engine gives 154 bhp and 254 Nm torque, which is quite impressive.

The new Nissan Kicks 2020 will be launched in India soon, and the Japanese carmaker has said that the car will come with the most powerful engine in its segment. This is Nissan's turbo engine that was featured on the Renault Duster at Auto Expo 2020 and will now be used in kicks as well.

The X-Tronic CVT gearbox seen in the Duster will also get a place in the new kicks. This 1.3 liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged, BS6 compliant petrol engine gives 154 bhp and 254 Nm torque, which is quite impressive.

Rakesh Srivastava, MD, Nissan Motor India, said, "The new Nissan Kicks 2020 is built with Japanese engineering and technology and will get premium quality. Its turbo engine and X-Tronic CVT are the best in both segments."

This engine uses cylinder coating technology derived from the mighty Nissan GT-R engine. This helps to increase both engine power and mileage. The new X-Tronic CVT gearbox, which comes with an 8-step manual mode, promises better performance. 

Nissan Kicks of 2020 has also been spotted in Thailand, and it has more chrome with a more prominent grille than the first one. The SUV comes with new LED headlamps and foglamps with integrated LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), as well as a new bumper with a sportier look.
