Piaggio extended warranty, free service of Aprilia and Vespa
The company has extended the warranty for 30 days on all Aprilia and Vespa models in India.
Piaggio has decided to extend the warranty and free service program for its Aprilia and Vespa models in India due to the Coronavirus lockdown. All Aprilia and Vespa owners whose warranty or free service has expired or are to be held during the lockdown period can breathe peacefully as you can avail of these services for up to 30 days after the lockdown. Due to the lockdown, almost all two-wheeler companies have announced similar relief for their customers.
Piaggio is also trying its best to help the authorities fight the coronavirus. It has arranged free ration kits for about 1,000 migrant laborers in Pune and Baramati, Maharashtra. Ration kits have been handed over to the Executive Magistrate's Office for distribution among the migrant laborers in Baramati.
The company has tied up with NGO 'New Vision' to provide ration to the migrant laborers in Pune. Piaggio, in collaboration with an NGO named 'United Way Mumbai,' is also supporting Pune's Sassoon Government Hospital in fighting the epidemic.
Piaggio is also providing sanitation facilities in the hospital as well as personal protective equipment (PPE). The company is making every effort to tackle the disease and raise awareness about it.
Piaggio has set up an isolation ward for coronavirus patients at the government hospital in Baramati. In this ward, the company has also started procuring all the necessary items such as ECG machines, ICY beds, Pulse Omsetter, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits required for isolation center.
