Upcoming Tata Safari Facelift Interior Spied – New Dashboard, Steering Wheel, Touch-Sensitive Controls & More

 

The highly anticipated facelifted version of the Tata Safari has been generating much excitement among SUV enthusiasts. Recently, interior images of a test mule were spied, revealing intriguing details about the upcoming Tata Safari facelift. 

Tata Motors has evidently put considerable effort into elevating the interior to offer a more premium feel, setting it apart from any previous models by the automaker.

The facelifted Tata Safari boasts a layered dashboard, with the lower portion adorned in leather, adding a touch of sophistication. Additionally, the test mule showcases entirely new HVAC controls, predominantly employing touch-sensitive buttons. 

However, in a thoughtful move to enhance user-friendliness while driving, Tata Motors has cleverly integrated two physical switches, likely to control the fan speed and temperature.

Above the new air conditioning vents, a larger touchscreen infotainment unit graces the test mule's interior. It is expected to resemble the unit found in the recently introduced Tata Safari Red Dark Edition or possibly an even slightly larger variant. 

Alongside the new infotainment system, the facelifted Tata Safari SUV will come equipped with a digital instrument cluster and a revamped steering wheel integrated with touch-sensitive buttons, akin to the Tata Curvv concept.

Regarding the powertrain, the upcoming Tata Safari facelift is expected to feature a new 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine. This engine is projected to generate 168bhp and 280Nm of torque, as previously showcased by Tata Motors at the Auto Expo 2023. 

The facelifted Tata Safari diesel engine is expected to remain the same as before with a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged unit, we can expect some slight improvements in power and torque figures here. The outgoing Safari SUV's diesel engine produces 168bhp and 350Nm of peak torque.

The forthcoming Tata Safari facelift is anticipated to significantly enhance Tata Motors' competitiveness against sophisticated rivals like the MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV700. 

Furthermore, the upcoming facelift is expected to offer a more luxurious experience compared to the outgoing model, providing customers with an enticing and upscale SUV option.
