Hyundai launches Santro's BS6 model in India, starting price ₹ 4.57 lakh
Hyundai India launched the new generation Hyundai Santro in the country at the end of 2018, and at that time the Delhi Ex-showroom price of the car was kept at Rs 3.89 lakh.
Hyundai India has quietly launched the BS6 version of Santro in the Indian market. Santro petrol and petrol have been made available in CNG engine, which has an initial ex-showroom price of Rs 4.57 lakh in Delhi. The company launched this car in the country at the end of 2018, and at that time the Delhi Ex-showroom price of the vehicle was kept at Rs 3.89 lakh.
Later the South Korean company increased the price of this car by Rs 25,000 and discontinued its base variants entry-level D-Lite and Era. While the new fuel regulations have been implemented in India on 1 April 2020, Hyundai India has now launched the new BS6 Santro.
The 1.1-liter Epsilon MPI engine with BS6 standards has been fitted with the BS6 version of the new generation Hyundai Santro. The petrol version of the car generates 68 bhp power and 99 Nm peak torque, while its CNG variant can produce 58 bhp power and 84 Nm peak torque.
Along with this, while the company has provided a 5-speed manual with the Santro Petrol BS6 of the car and an AMT transmission as an option, its CNG variant has been introduced only in a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Hyundai's new Santro is a mix of a traditional hatchback and tall-boy design that made the first generation Santro so famous. Hyundai India has installed halogen headlamps with the car, and the company has not yet provided the projector setup or LED daytime running lights.
The new Santro offers 14-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, and Hyundai has not given alloy wheels to the car, even with the car's top model Asta. We spent enough time with this car and would like to tell you that the company has focused more on making this car better looking for customers rather than making it look great.
The best thing that Hyundai has given in the new generation Santro is the car's well-spaced cabin, along with that the cabin has been better decorated. When we sat in this car, we found the cabin's legroom and headroom too high and it is the highest of all the vehicles in the segment.
Rear AC vents have been given in the vehicle, which is an excellent feature in Indian perspective. The Sport and Esta models of the new Santro have 7-inch touchscreen infotainment that supports Bluetooth and mirror link and comes with inbuilt navigation.
This is the first time this class has been introduced with Apple Car Play and Android Auto Support Infotainment System, which is very good for customers working in fewer features.
